I wouldn't say I've ever really been given advice about sex. I think what really screwed with my mind for a long time was everyone acting like sex was only supposed to be pleasurable for the man and that all men want is sex. I went a really long time without being sexually satisfied because I felt like I wasn't supposed to have a voice due to being female. I've only recently started speaking up more and have been trying to get my husband to understand that my pleasure also needs to be important. It's been a long time coming, but I'm hoping that things will even out a bit as time goes on.
