I wonder.. most mammal animals have the same sex position where the male ride up the female from behind.: Cats, Horses, Pigs, Mices, ....etc

So, Why we call the same sex position we have by (Doggy style)?

Why don't we call it (Catty Style) or even (Piggy Style)?

Any one has an answer?

I'm pretty sure it's named for the Yoga position it resembles.

That's interesting! I always thought it was because dogs are usually associated with being more sexual than cats or pigs.

The yoga thing is mostly an educated guess based on the fact that there are other sexual positions named for similar yoga poses (like the Lotus Position).

I thought it is because Dogs are most friendly for human and live with people.

I'd guess something like Moein. Dogs and humans have been living together for thousands of years. It's only natural that we'd name "the other" sex position after them, since that's what we would have observed most often.

As an aside, bonobos are the only other animals that have sex in the missionary position!

Gotta love those bonobos. Though dolphins will also mate face-to-face... I wonder if that still counts or not, what with the fins and all.

Ok, I think the best name for Doggy style is (Catty style).. because cats are more (feminine).
