Double bag it

Contributor: sweetpea12 sweetpea12
When I was in health class I made a joke about double bagging it (putting two condoms on at once to prevent pregnancy). And my teacher was like ironically putting two condoms on at once actually puts you at more risk for a condom tear because of the added friction and drag. Does anyone on this site use two condoms at once??

It depends on the condom. When it comes to lamb skin condoms, two condoms is recommended just in case. My health teacher was adamant about it, as that's what he practiced. With synthetic condoms I can definitely see that being a very big no-no.

With latex and silicone condoms it is true you shouldn't use two.

Not quite sure why anyone would use lambskin (sheep intestine) condoms given that they've not really been improved upon since 3000BC, but yeah, do double bag those as they're thin and glide over each other rather than causing friction. It can also help prevent them from ripping as you pull them off.

Someone with a latex or silicone allergy would use lambskin, but I would suggest never using two condoms, just use a second form of birth control.
