I dont find it very odd. Even breast cancer is found like 75% or something by men, or the woman's sexual partner. And it was (is still a lil today) kinda taboo for women to touch themselves so I'm not really surprised it was found and documented by a man.

I knew about Ernst Grafenberg. I would love to learn more about how he discovered it.
Edited to add: According to Wikipedia (assuming the article is relatively accurate), he also developed the IUD.
