I've noticed recently that several bisexual women with hetero leans (especially those married) seem to be with men five or more years older than themselves, often much older.

I definitely fit this category myself, so I was wondering if maybe this is some sort of semi-universal coincidence: If you're a bisexual woman and you have a male partner, is he a lot older? Do you have any particular thoughts as to why?

Personally, all I can think of for myself is that I've always preferred more mentally mature people, and women tend to mature faster than men. Therefore the women I'm interested in are usually right around my age, but I've always wanted a man who has settled down a bit.

Thoughts? Comments? "Heck no, you're wrong"s?

My husband is actually 2 yrs younger than me! I think women like more mature men! My husband is mature and open minded for being younger

You know I wouldn't have realized this similarity if I hadn't run across this post. My current Dominate is 10 years and 4 months older then myself. My last lover was 2 decades. Decades! Older then I am. I’m a wee misanthropic with a certain animosity for people my own age, not to say that all men in their early 20’s are full of fail, I’ve just had better relationships with men older then myself. I like to surround myself with people I can learn from. And sleeping with someone who has had a few relationships prior to you is nice IMO. In my experience older men seem to be more attentive sexually and that's never a bad thing.

I think it's a coincidence. My boyfriend is about a year older than me. On the other hand, my parents and my [straight] sister and her boyfriend are both about 5 years apart.

Yes!

Definitely true for me. My hubby is a whopping 27 years my senior, and the only men I've been attracted to (I've never once liked a guy my age, even as a young teen) are at least 15-20 years older. Girls on the other hand, a good 5 - 10 years older seems to suit me.

Wonder how it works for bisexual guys ?

I believe it to be true. I don't like guys my age and would prefer a "Man" then an immature "boy" (but then again most guys I found older do have that childlike personality that I find cute) same for women however I can only stand a few girls my age. Younger the 17 is all I can go for. Any younger I'd be dealing with bad juju. D8!?

My best friend has a husband that is 9 years older and she indeed is bisexual.
