We don't have the place where we live. I had no idea they were so hateful. I had heard good thing about their benefit program for their employees, but I had no idea they fired people for being "sinful."
Hate has no place in business. They need to either make chicken sandwiches or be a Church. Not both.
I also think that churches should have to pay taxes on donations from NON Church groups. They get away with too much free money that they don't pay taxes on.

Anyone who applies to work at Chic-fil-a should know full well what that company is about - it's not a secret. Every restaurant is closed on Sundays. Some stores give the appearance that the bible threw up on their walls, but it's about family values and they will eventually get with the program.
Target isn't any better. They refuse to allow Salvation Army bell ringers at Christmas and they also support anti-rights initiatives.

I had no idea. We have no Chik Fil As around here.
What does Target have against the Salvation Army.
What kinds of rights are they against? I didn't know.
chik-fil-a is all over the south. always closed on sundays like 90% of everything uless in the Bible belt. they are intitled to their belifs just like we are. and I don't see anything wrong with that, I'm not saying its right. But that's their choice.
I've known about this stuff for a while. Some of my friends who've applied were asked questions about their church-going habits etc during their interviews, things like that. I still eat there on occasion because the food is darn delicious.

Yeah, if you ever get a chance, just walk into a Chic-fil-a. Hell, just visit their website and you'll get a pretty good snapshot of what they are about.
Target - They have a no solicitation policy and they also actively support anti-gay rights legislation/lobbyists. But, as of 2011 Target participates in Salvation Army's Angel Tree program.
But, see what I mean about caring about a corporation's politics? There isn't a single corporation that doesn't have some dirt on its nose somewhere.
After Chik-Fil-A put forth that they give lots of money to anti-gay programs, did you stop going?

I love chick-fila and will never stop going there. They're a Christian based organization hense the reason they are closed on Sundays. They're nice people. I support their decisions but nope i won't quit going. they have my favorite food

target will support gay rights but yet wont support childrens' organizations so we quit going there. it's stupid to not support kids programs when u sell kids stuff there.
Chick-fila = they are Christian based. yep they ask about affiliations with church and stuff during interview, i almost got the job but had to be a sahm again so i had to turn it down. they pay good though for a restraunt
I had no clue about this. I've never eaten there. And I don't think I will. I had no idea they were so hateful either.
They aren't hateful, they just choose to not support gay rights. The ones around me are very nice and polite and id love to work for them if opprotunity came up to
I was disappointed to hear about Chick-Fil-A's support of anti-gay organizations, but it didn't come as a surprise. It is a southern based, openly religious company. And I still eat there on a semi-regular basis.
Not sure how I feel about this. I love Target and shop there over wal-mart any day. I refuse to set foot in a wal-mart. Chik-fil-a is tasty when you're in the mood for it but we don't have many around here so I very rarely eat it.

No, they did not chose "not to support gay rights", they chose to actively work against them via their donating patterns. There is a rather large difference.
Do not confuse goodness with niceness, most hateful people are actually very nice and polite it doesn't change the fact that they are hateful. link Note to everyone everywhere: when someone disuses systemic prejudice and hate if your response includes the word "nice" or "polite" you have likely missed the point entirely.
As for the restaurant never eat there before knowing this, have even less reason to eat there now.
I'm not exactly boycotting them, but I've made it a point to not seek them out, as good as their chicken is :T
Same with the Salvation Army.
Ugh, though, corporations in general really are not frequently run by the best people? It's hard.
Haven't cut out Target, even though they seem to be just as bad u__u
