No. Some ppl feel that they are born in the wrong body. And others are comfortable in their body and are attracted to the same sex.

I dont see anything wrong with.exploring your sexuality

No, I agree with duff above, it's really an individual thing that I don't think has any "should" or "should not" attached to it - people aren't obligated to conform to the gender they were assigned at birth.

No one is born with a gender. You're born with a biological, assigned sex, your gender is something you develop and is fluid throughout the lifespan.

This. Also I think your own identity is really up to you - and no one else - to decide.

No, definitely not. First off, people aren't born with a gender. Secondly, gender is extremely fluid and not nearly as constrained as some people make it out to be.

No one is born with a gender. So to answer your question simply, no.
By "Should we be configured to the gender we are born with?" if you literally mean "is it normal for humans gender and sex to be correlated", absolutely, a very small portion of the population is gender variant, transsexuals are uncommon.
BUT I'm guessing you mean "should we remain the sex we are born as" and personally I think it's quite invasive and rude when people criticize transsexuals for "changing their bodies" when it's a mental health issue. It's not much better than telling a person with a horribly disfigured face that they're humiliated by that they shouldn't get plastic surgery because it's "changing what god gave you". Transsexuals VERY often kill themselves when they're young because of intense dysphoria, humiliation and depression, no one should EVER be able to tell them that they don't deserve to be happy because "it's weird/wrong to change their bodies". People should stay out of other people's business when it comes to sex/gender issues, it doesn't concern anyone but the person themselves. Sorry if I sound rude, but this is a very personal issue for not only myself, but people I've lost, and close friends who struggle every day.

it's very simple to me- who's to say whether it's our bodies or our minds that should be changed? who's to say which one is more 'us'? Only the individual can decide. When I was a teen I had my own struggle, as I'm sure most do, with "What do I need to change about myself and what do I need to accept?". Years later in recovery I found myself chanting with my other 12 steppers
(enter belief system or diety of choice)
grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change
The courage to change the things I can
And the wisdom to know the difference.

i can't wait for a world where people realize that gender roles and biological sex mean nothing.

I am the gender I was born with. I am also transgender. I was born into a body that doesn't match with the gender I was born with, and I have no idea what you mean by "configured" .
