Anyone have like a playlist or something that helps when you're feeling particularly dysphoric?

I know that some would suggest 'Born This Way' by Lady Gaga but honestly, the song 'Be A Man' from the Mulan soundtrack has helped me some.

If you check Youtube you can find it being sung in Cantonese (I think) by Jackie Chan. That's the version that I rely on for strength.

I am not a member of the GLBT community, but when I'm feeling down I like to listen to Christina Aguilera's "Beautiful."

Best song I've ever found to help with dysphoria is this "gender fierce anthem".

The music I have that helps me has nothing to do with gender/sex really, they're more... reminders that things will get better in general. It's comforting about the future much more than making me feel better about my body.

Yep, basically. And if I want to wallow in feeling dramatic I listen to "My Body Is A Cage" by Arcade Fire.

Haha, yeah, I'll use My Body Is a Cage for that too. Otherwise I often just try to make myself depressed about other topics and then slowly work my way out of that with increasingly less depressing music.

I'd never seen it before, but it's pretty cool.

Yes, this.

Also "I can make you a man", "Don't dream it, be it" (Rocky Horror Picture Show), "We have a dog to exercise" (Sopor Aeternus), and, oddly enough, "Part of me" (Katy Perry..bwah, I kind of loathe her.. it just gets stuck so easily in the head..)

Coyote Grace's music is usually what I fall back on - "Daughterson" and "Guy Named Joe" are my favorites. I also like Metric's music, they're not particularly trans*-related but "Help I'm Alive" and "Torture Me" are songs I tend to put on replay when I'm stressed.
