I know that my topic title sounds a bit bizarre, but this is a very urgent matter that I feel everyone of us should know and be aware of. The fact that we all love Edenfantasys is definitely reason enough (most of us enjoy the internet and internet sites, right?).

Apparently, a bill is going to be passed (or being petitioned to be passed) to censor internet sites such as Facebook, Tumblr, and a handful of others. To stop this, please follow this link: link

This is real, and it's happening now for us Americans. Please consider signing and sign if you feel that it's worth it. Everyone's signature counts. You can also call your representative to say why you are not in favor of this, hopefully they'll listen.

Since EF's linking system masks where your link goes, can you tell us some keywords we could search to get to the same place? I'd definitely like to speak my piece about avoiding censorship, but I'd like to read the petition before I sign my name to it.

People have been saying this for about the last 2 years that this is happening, nothing has seemed to have happened yet. So who knows if they will follow through.

I don't know, I never heard about it before. Perhaps I am just not up on the times, but I just recently read about it.

This and the paying subscriptions for the internet has been talked about for awhile. The subscription thing is like say you pay for these 30 sites but you dont get the other sites not listed under what you pay for. Kind of like cable and buying what channels you want to watch. Both are stupid but I dont think have picked up much steam realistically. Who knows maybe I am wrong and they finally will push these laws and ruin the right of freedom of speech.

I think that even if nothing has been done about it, it's still something that we need to get our voices heard on so that it PREVENTS it from happening, you know? I do not see why you should not speak up just because they haven't done it YET. That makes no sense to me.

I dont think it shouldnt be voiced but i feel like a lot of it is the internet hype machine scaring people. Which parts are factual and which arent real?

I've known about this for quite a while. There's a petition floating around that needs 25k signatures before dec. 17th, I think? But I can't remember the link.

I do know that Obama is going to veto the bill if it gets to his desk, though.
