I have a sort of unique Internet thingy... it is from a cell phone company, and it dials up a connection, but after the connection is made, it works like a broadband connection. So, what would you call it?

Satellite for me, other than dial up (Which requires another line) it is the only thing offered. Not even a cell phone will work due to weak signal.

It's OK for the most part, if the weather is bad it may not work but other wise it is pretty fast.

I have verizon broadband. That's really all I can get out in the boonies. Cable doesn't run out here. I live in the woods so dish isn't an option and I sure as hell was not going to get dial up. The broadband is not the cheapest but it's highly functional. The only downside is you only have 5 gigs of usage a month so you can't watch movies or do online gaming.

We run on fiber here, loving it <3 We used to have quite the internet usage here in the house, but that's died out a little due to work and my sister moving out.

..kept the internet though x) Thank you mommy and daddy ¦)

Cable (cox). I had DSL through Qwest (not centurylink - however changing names doesn't help, they still suck!!!) but the speed was too slow. I barely had .5mb here. With cox I have 50mb. And its not like I live in some far away city, Im in the city. Qwest just has not updated a lot of the wires in the phoenix area. so cox it is.

A shitty one!

Actually, I have no idea. I'm on a college campus, but I can safely say that it's heavily firewalled and quite slow. This year it's much faster than last year, but it's still slow by most standards! We have an insane amount of bandwidth, but it's actually very little when you consider the thousands of students on campus.

We have both cable and a DSL phone connection. Truth is, not much performance difference for our use.

4G ain't too shabby, but it is still NOT anywhere near a hard wired modem speed in DSL or Cable. (plus you need a FAST wireless router to take advantage of wall speed, or else you create your own bottle neck).
