Help wanted: tech savvy people

Contributor: Airlia Airlia
Heya,

I have a blog. I can manipulate basic html. I'm not the best at any computer related anything.

2 problems:

How do I let people know how to follow my blog/follow others in an RSS feed?

How do I add links/italics, bold etc in reviews, forums and the rest on EF?

Please be gentle with my left brained self.

Your blog has RSS feed options on it; not sure what else you'd want to do with that.

EF has a particular way to link in text, which is basically this format: [URL | text], for example-- I love the Outlaw (I removed the https:// so that it will hopefully show up without the actual link).

Hm, OK, apparently that was a nonessential part to the link URL. But that was clear, yes?

I use Feedburner for my blog. It's a division of Google now. They create your feed and serve it, and have a nice collection of icons you can display on your blog. link

Actually... don't you need spaces? [ URL | text ]. I seem to remember it didn't work without at one point. The vertical line is shift-backslash above the "enter" key.

Good question about formatting EF reviews. There used to be an option that would show up.

Sienna, Blogger blogs automatically have a feed and yours would be link
You can simply add an HTML link to your blog someplace and when people click on it, it will open in their feed reader or browser options (like Firefox's live bookmarks)

Feedburner is another option but they don't create your feed. They simply switch it over to their medium called "burning". Feedburner has more detailed stats, I believe, but doesn't work as well with all feed readers. However, if you use feedburner, you can have a little site badge which shows your number of followers and allow them to subscribe by e-mail. I am slightly elitest and feel that feedburner subscribers are less 'true' so I don't use it.

Is there something else you want to do?

You don't NEED spaces, but I think it will work either with or without them.

I miss the formatting options too. And the emoticons in comments.
