Happy Memorial Day, everyone! Service members around the world should be honored this weekend for their hard work and dedication to protecting the world from overgrown bullies and we should be remembering those who served and have since passed. This is a great opportunity to gather everyone you love close by and have some really great times. Share stories about grandparents, parents, aunts and uncles who have served. Or the really funny ones about how your buddy got kicked out of the Army barracks for panty-sniffing. (Is that an actual offense in the military? Anyway...)

What is everyone into this weekend? Where ya goin', whatcha doin', and most importantly what are you gonna munch on?

If you have any service stories you'd like to tell, we'd love to hear those too!!

I am going to go see my Dad, he is a disabled Veteran. He got hurt over in Turkey during the 'Cold War". The VA has turned down his claim for disability due to lack of records....they were burnt in the fire of 1971. I am honored to have him as my Dad and am very proud of him!!!

Hubby has to work on Saturday but Sunday afternoon, we are taking off on the motorcycle, going to the next state, and have a spur of the moment night away (as much spur of the moment as possible with our schedules)..we will celebrate our 28th anniversary (even though it was last weekend)!! Hope everyone has a great weekend and a safe one!!

My brother served in the Navy, my best friend served in the Marines, and I have several friends and family members that have served in the Army. I am thankful for each and every one of them, and am thankful they were brought home safely to me.

Working all weekend during the nights so no afternoon plans. I am planning to take the kids up to the cemetery to place a flag on grandpa's head stone (Served in WWII) and to clean up all the family head stones on Sunday. Other than that just going to spend some time with the kids and catch up on some yard work if the weather holds.

My Grandfather served in the Navy and my Father was a career Air Force man. Both were vets and both were mistreated by the government but still proud to serve their Country. No matter how shabbily they got treated they both stood proudly when the National Anthem was recited and saluted their flag with pride. It is a shame we don't honor men like this so much better but on this day, even though I am no longer welcome in my Father's home I will take a moment to thank him for his service, commitment and for instilling in me a love for my Country.

dont have much planned for the weekend, normally we grill for memorial day but everyone seems busy this weekend with their own stuff. we had my sons 2 bday party tho and it was great. made cupcakes mixed with red velvet and vanilla and they were a big hit, gone in no time. maybe goin to go out on the boat tomorrow

I am going to spend the day with my dad and uncle and father in law because they are all veterans. I am very greatful for all that our soldiers have done. Thank you all past, present, and future veterans of America

my grandfather fought in hand-to-hand combat when he was in the navy, in korea, in the 50s. he still goes to reunions of the crew of the USS Buck.

he still gets teary-eyed speaking about his time in the service. it was very, very emotionally damaging for him.

Happy Memorial Day!

Here is to all the service men, women and service dogs who fight for our country and allow us to have the freedom to buy sex toys for review! And for all the other wonderful freedoms that we have, all because of the people who go out there and make it so!

To those who have lost loved ones or who have loved ones currently away from them (or to those who have returned!) bless you, and thank you for all that you do!

We aren't doing ANYTHING this weekend or today. I don't think we even have plans to grill - which is shocking considering that my husband uses any excuse to grill LOL
