father's day doesn't really make me angry or sad; it makes me roll my eyes. My father walked out on the family when I was in 11th grade. He was never around too much before that though either. I am the youngest child so by the time I came along he had 2 jobs. If he wasn't at work he was usually napping. What little "free" time he had he spent doing dumb stuff like Pool league. Don't get me wrong, playing pool is fun but so is family time. My mom was pretty much my father figure. She taught me how to play ball and all that stuff. I never really had a male role model; famous or non famous.
As far as impact that it has had on me, everyone has their own analysis.

Father's day is about celebrating my husband as a father! I focus on that and forget about the father I had growing up. I have a stepdad now that I care about and will also celebrate him.

Nuteral. My father is there sometimes when I need him. That is since he has a new family.

I despise the holiday, but no one knows it, I play nice and tell my biological dad and step dad the normal schpeel, but I think it's worthless, Mother's Day all the way!

My father left when I was around 8 so I can't remember a fathers day with him actually here, I just never remember when it's even father's day. To be honest I kinda just wish there was just a "parents day" instead of a separate mothers and fathers day. Kinda like how they have grandparents day.
