Ahhhh....it's a Holiday Friday (Memorial Day Weekend 2013). Do you feel more "chill" knowing it's a long weekend, right off the bat?

Even though we both have to work some on Monday, it still feels...well...better then a regular Friday. Just more relaxing, some way. How about you?

I do get to leave earlier but I'm still on call anyway so to me it seems like any other friday. I only realized monday was a holiday because they're letting me get out early. Well at least monday I get completely off work.

I get a long weekend, and I hate work. SO it is nice to get away for 4 days and not have to think about going back to a job that I dislike. And on top of the long weekend, the kids just wrapped up their baseball season, and scouts are done for the summer next week. So now I can have some free time after work during the week.

I had Friday off and Monday off. But I work the middle two. But yes this weekend I do feel it is the weekend for all 4 days!!

I have more work this weekend than other weekends, so it isn't relaxing at all.

Indeed they don't. In fact, they get a good bit busier, when others are out "playing". Especially the "knife and gun club".

Indeed tough to not start with busy housework, when a long weekend happens. I fight to not "go there".

Sounds like you are living the "busy married, parent life". Wait a while, once they move out on their own, you DO get your whole life back. Really kind of nice.
