Are you a "box wrapper" or "gift bagger"?

Contributor: Bignuf Bignuf
From birthdays to holidays, I see more and more people skipping the "gift wrap" and going for the "gift bag". I just went to a wedding and even big items were put into huge gift bags, with lots of crinkly paper inside, rather then box wrapping.

Which do you prefer and why.

I think that people are using gift bags simply because they are easier. Some come already paper arranged and ready to fill in an instant.

What is your thought on this?

I like box wrapping! I mean, there is no feeling like ripping the paper off. It's part of the present! I am the official gift wrapper at my house.

Box wrapper here. I like wrapping it looks like you put more effort into the presentation of the gift, and ripping the paper off is the best. bags can be ok if needed, but I've wrapped things that were really awkward just to be fun.

I like presents to be box wrapped, but I will admit I sometimes use the gift bags.

I'm a gift bagger. I love the pretty bags and all the crinkly tissue paper!

Wrapper...bags seem like cheating, unless it's an extremely odd shaped gift.

I do a combination.....someti mes I bag things and sometimes I wrap. Christmas presents are nearly always wrapped though, I don't use bags for under the tree. For other occasions it just depends on my mood.

It depends on what it is and who it's for. Odd shaped things I always use a bag for.

Too funny. I feel the same way. I love to rip paper off. Messy, but fun.

That's the big challenge, wrapping the odd shaped gift!

They can indeed look elegant, when done right.

Box wrapper! Because it's much more fun and satisfying to watch them rip apart the package. There is no pageantry to a gift bag, lol.
