I had to work Thursday night, handing out tickets for TVs . I work at Walmart. I had my boyfriend pick up a couple of housewares for the eventuality of us getting an apartment. People are animals. I saw one woman grab up like heaps of towels that were on sale and some griddles and waffle makers.

I had to pretty much manage people after they got in line for the 5 AM $198 TV sale, which apparently was the most popular item in our store. This woman kept poking me and getting into arguments with other customers and the store management. A guy who had previously sexually harassed me was also in my line. Walmart did not seem to care much about that one.

I only went to Kmart, because it is right next to the Walmart I work at. It was nowhere near the madhouse Walmart was, and even though I didn't get in there til 7 am, the store was pretty well stocked with sale stuff.

I am pretty upset, though, cause someone hit my car in the Walmart parking lot while I was working, so now I have to file a police report and am going to press charges on the person. They apparently just let their door slam into mine, almost took off the mirror and everything.

Next year I am going to come down with the flu or something, cause I am NOT doing this again.

I hope you feel better, Kristi. I hate when I get sick during shopping season, but thanks to the Internet, you can do CyberMonday!

I'm sorry you had a crappy day, too.

Making people work on Thanksgiving evening is awful. I'm sorry. It upset me when I saw that WalMart was open on Thursday evening, I was thinking, "Those people deserve a day off, don't they?" Obviously, the Bottom Line (MONEY) is all that matters to huge, evil, conglomerates like Walmart.

I hope your Christmas is better.

My sister and I went. Started around 12:30 since we were still up, hit up Old Navy and the Charlotte Rousse and Aeropastale that also happened to be open at the mall, then drove over to Kohl's and got there right as they opened, then went back to the mall to hit a few more stores. Got home around 7:30 in the morning, and didn't do too bad. The lines were only bad at Kohl's, but I expected them to be.
