Since this is my first relationship since my divorce in which the guy is not going to vanish into thin air the week of Valentine's Day, I've been wondering how and what to celebrate when we have our weekend date near it.
Being as how our relationship is ever-evolving, I'm feeling that I can't really plan (or get) anything until much closer to the date. We're at the point of having dated a few months, no official commitments, no mention of the "L" Word, but familiar with each other enough that we slip easily into the "old married couple" roles since we've had experience as such. But it may evolve deeper in a month's time, or may not, I don't know yet.
So, from any point in your relationship (casual dating to married for years), when do you start planning for your "cultural-approved" romantic night together? And what plans do you make?
