If you hang Christmas stockings, where do you hang them? Many people don't have a fireplace so if you can't hang them on the mantle, where do they go?

We hang them from the curtain rod ends.

We don't hang them. They sit either on top of the presents or in a small pile near the presents. At my husband's grandmother's house though, they're hung along a banister.

I got a Christmas stocking made for us (black and white stripes with a pointy toe) and we hand it on the window.

When we don't have a fireplace (we have moved a lot, with dh being former military), we hang them on the banister, or if we don't have stairs we have hung them on the wall by the tree.

This will be our first Christmas living together. We don't have stockings yet. Maybe we'll get some by Christmas though.
