We celebrate personally, our naughty gifts on Christmas Eve but have a traditional Christmas with the family and gift sharing on Christmas Day. I always make a huge meal and have an array of homemade candies and cookie to snack on. A lot of the food gets carried over to our New Years tree burning party.
Do you celebrate on Christmas Eve or on Christmas Day?

My family opens one present each on Christmas Eve. Christmas Day is the actual celebration with the rest of the gifts and food and all that. New Year's Eve is hardly commented on (although I like to try to celebrate it).

It's a lovely tradition. One of my friends back in middle school also did that with her family, but it was always the 'Christmas Pajamas'. They knew what they were getting every year, but it was cute to see what types of pj's they got ... it also allowed their mom control over how they were dressed for Christmas morning present-opening photos.

Both. When we lived closer to family, it was the husband's family on Christmas Even and mine on Christmas. Now that it is just us we let the kids open some gifts on Christmas Eve and the rest on Christmas Day.

We open gifts on the 23rd. Neither of us are religious so we don't really celebrate "Christmas;" we just say we "give people things in December," hehe. Our families have religious gatherings though, so for the rest of the week we are usually busy with that and we would rather exchange our gifts with each other early instead of late.

Due to work schedules I'll be celebrating with my mum on the 23rd and then going to my boyfriend's house on the 25th.

I celebrate both Christmas eve with the whole family cousins ect. and then just close family in the morning and then my boyfriends family at some point in the week usually a small dinner.

christmas day. every year my siblings & i would be up super early & bugging our parents to wake up. we weren't allowed to open presents, though, till the street lights went out & everyone was up & in the living room.

At my grandmas and my parents house on Christmas Eve and then Christmas Day we let the boys open the few presents from us and then go to my in-laws for Christmas lunch.

Christmas day with our families. We spend half the day with his family and the rest of the day with mine.

Before my sister went away to school, we'd open one present on the 24th and open the rest Christmas morning. With her away at school and this year and last year coming home on Christmas Day, we now wait to open all of them. Christmas Day is also when the family gets together.

We have my Sis-in-law, my brother and my nephew over on Christmas Eve for dinner usually and we exchange gifts and then on Christmas Day, Mum, Dad and I exchange gifts.

Like Sam, we opened one gift on Christmas Eve and the rest on Christmas morning. I, as an adult, enjoy the romanticism of exchanging gifts on Christmas Eve and staying up until dawn, so that's what we do at home now that I'm no longer involved with my family.

We celebrate on Christmas Day. Once we move, we'll likely start doing Christmas Eve again with my aunt and cousins. But we will go to a family friend's house Christmas Eve this year. But the BIG day, no matter what, takes place Christmas Day.

This year is much different for me. I'm adding a new day for opening gifts. My owner and I will be opening up the our gifts the weekend before. For my family we open one gift on Christmas eve and watch a family movie. Then do the rest on Christmas morning. I can't wait for this year.
