I used to dread Thanksgiving & Christmas. I hate family gatherings since I am so uncomfortable in groups. I even feel out of place with my family. Since it will be an hour's drive round trip to where I am moving to I am used that as an excuse when my mom asked if I would be there this year. Do you dread the holidays?

Dread isn't the word for me. It's a stressful busy time where I have to organize lots and lots and lots of moving parts. That comes with a certain amount of anxiety....but I enjoy it once the planning and cleaning and cooking is done and we're in the actual moment of the holiday.

I'm not big into family gatherings. Simply put, they drive me insane. On many of the holidays, I have to work long hours .

I don't look forward to gathering with family members that I have poor memories or dealing with. I do look forward to the ones I had good relations and memories of. Hey, I'm only human.
