When I heard about the Holiday Adopt-A-Family program, I knew I really wanted to participate - especially when I found out that the local women's shelter had a program. I've been supporting their local program with my EF commissions for awhile now, and after stopping by and seeing some of the people who are utilizing the shelter's services, I knew I really wanted to help out these people.

The local women's shelter is a safe haven for women and children of abuse - sexual and otherwise. They provide a safe space for the women to escape their abuse. A lot of these women are leaving their home without any of their belongings just to get away from abusive spouses. They leave all of their belongings, their house, and their treasured possessions to get themselves and their child out of the abuse. Many of the abusers kept the women from getting a job (to increase dependency), so the women don't have any steady income either. After hearing about everything these women have lost, I knew I really wanted to help out a family from the shelter.

The shelter has an anonymous program to protect people's privacy because of the topic at hand, but I was told I'd be sponsoring a three-person family: A young woman and her two children. I was not told the nature of their sponsorship, but I was told that all three of them were victims of abuse and had just recently escaped. The mother doesn't have any money for her clothing and food - much less presents for the children.

One of the children is a boy who would love to try some Kinex toys, and the girl is a small toddler who loves to play with dolls and watch Dora the Explorer. I'd love to be able to give these children a happy Holiday. Please help me and EdenFantasys to make this an amazing holiday where the children and mother can forget their problems! less

I want to give, only problem, i forgot to do as told once, i forgot to get the code on the card, or is the number enough, sorry sorry!! If the number is not enough, how do i retrieve the code now, seems like an email would be sent with all the info on it!! less

Awesome, glad I'm not too late for this one. Unfortunately, the collection for the others was over by the time I saw them.
That gives me a few days to build up some more points to gift.
