I received the check on Thursday and will be shopping throughout the weekend! I will post pics of the experience, from buying to wrapping I wish I could meet them and see their faces!
Day one of shopping was finished (due to a raging blizzard over the weekend -_-). I only got a couple toys and some clothes so far, but there is still tomorrow! I will be getting tons of toys for the kids and a bedspread for momma, along with some perfume and makeup!
You could always send in what you have right now if you are afraid that you will forget. Then, if you earn more points and remember to do so, you can send in those points on a separate gift card! Just an idea!
Yeah, I missed it, so I gave to the fourth family. I have been super busy at home right now, lots of crap going on that is keeping me from having much time for EF. I felt horrible for only having a few bucks worth of points to donate for the Fifth family as well, and I barely made it in time.
Also,I just wanted to say thanks to all who are working on these donations. I have always felt very lucky and proud to be a part of the EF community, and even more so now. You all are amazing!
Despite the things that have been going on lately, I still managed to get my Christmas shopping done. I was able to buy soooo much stuff for this family! It didn't look like as much to me when it was on the cart at the center, but each kid got 3 nice toys and an outfit (two shirts and a pair of pants). Marissa (2) got a Princess Tea Cart, a princess laptop and princess makeup set. Josh (4) got a monster truck, an Optimus Prime Transformer, and Bumblebee transformer.
Beth (momma) got lotion and perfume from Bath and Body Works. I also got her some Victoria's Secret perfume (bath and body works had an awesome sale going on). She got a 7 piece bedspread, towels for her bath and kitchen, a couple of wall decorations, and some makeup as well!
I'm going to try and just link to the whole album on photobucket, instead of uploading all the individual pictures. If that doesn't work we will go from there
