Ouch! Sorry about the fall. Hopefully that heals quickly. I got an apron for Christmas last year that my mom made. I was very grateful for such a practical gift. The cupcake fabric sounds really cute!

A friend gave me a bottle of wine and some wine accessories, my parents gave me $150 and took me out to lunch, and my husband gave me a meat grinder and a Pyrex glass bake set. And a beautiful card which I ripped up in a fit of anger a few days later.

While I received great gifts from my family, I want to recognize the fact that I was completely surprised to receive wonderful gifts from several friends of the Eden Fantasys community. The unconditional giving by those individuals, who I have never met, was beyond my expectation and is the significant reason behind unselfish generosity. I learned this act many years ago and I have always done this annually (which does make you feel good) to bring joy to another human being. I know that others in the Eden Fantasys community have done the same and I think that brings all of us closer together in appreciation for one another. It’s like spreading the ‘love’ around!

My Mum always gives the best gifts but this year she really topped it by finding a set of three books that I have been dying for but that have been out of print for about fifteen years. How she managed it I don't know but it was awesome opening that package.

My Mom, step dad, my Dad and step mom gave me my laptop. My Mom gave me a water purifier pitcher since I have to drink a half gallon of water each day due to my weight loss surgery and I can only drink water due to my bladder disease. I also think it was a great gift since I have trouble with bottle water ever since my surgery. I had been having my husband get the fridge water from my sister's house. I am touched my mom remembered I drinked purified water. Now my husband doesn't have to go and get me water from my sister's house.

It is FEB and I just found out about the MOST thoughtful gift. Someone made a HUGE contribution to a charity in my honor, for something I did to help them. The charity just got around to notifying me of the gift....but the person who gave it was "just that kind of giving person" that they didn't need any feedback from me to KNOW they did good.
