The best gift I ever got was a puzzle that was a love letter asking me to marry him on one side and coupons on the other. It took him forever to put it together. The coupons were both sexual based and other things he knew I would like, like cleaning the bathroom, When I got it, I did not know that it was a proposal so it was a wonderful surprise. The amount of thought, time and attention that he put into it meant so much. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful husband.
My first husband (the starter husband) once wadded up some money and threw it at me when I was hurt he forgot to get me something for my birthday. Another time he led me to think he had bought me this ring that I had coveted. Went through the process of wrapping a small box in a bigger box in a bigger box, in the smallest box there was a note to go upstairs, then another note to go to the bedroom, then another note to come back downstairs to find another small box. Guess what was inside? Vitamins. He had been badgering me about remembering to take my vitamins, so my very special gift that I had to run all over the house for was vitamins. Then he laughed because I had gotten so excited looking all over the house for clues. Can you imagine I let that man get away. Good concept, poor execution.
