Happy Pink Day!

Considering the song was released when I was pretty young, it took me quite a while to realize that Aerosmith's "Pink" is all about the vagina! At 11-12 years old when the song was big, it literally was just an anthem about the color pink. If you have an extra minute today, I highly suggest watching the music video, it's highly enjoyable.

I actually believe the oddest pink thing I own is a piece of my neon pink cast I kept after I broke my wrist. I had fractured my wrist when I was about ten or eleven years old and I kept a piece of the cast because it reminded me of a piece of my life. While it was a pain, and it hurt something awful, I remember that day pretty clearly. I was riding my bike down the biggest hill in our neighborhood for the first time on my own. Unfortunately...I didn't get out of it lucky, as I crashed my bike and ended up fracturing my right wrist. But, it was just a reminder of a time in my life where I can't remember ever feeling so free and wild at that age. I don't think about the fact I broke my wrist, I think back on that day I got to go out on my bike alone. Go figure I got hurt the one time I did something careless back then for the first time. I ended up crashing in a ditch. But I can laugh about that now. less
