My wife and I were talking about easter and what we should do for it. we won't have her older two children this holiday (theyll be at their dads) so we have to celebrate a week earlier. We were trying to decide what kind of eggs we should make. theres so many different choices out there. was wondering how you decorate the easter eggs? Also wanted to know, do you use real eggs or do you get the plastic ones?

I don't really do the egg thing anymore. I'm 23, with no kids, living alone.

My girlfriend and I still decorate them. We get the box kits and boil real eggs.

My daughter and I used to do this...Yes, I still have them!! Poke holes in both ends of an unboiled egg. Blow out the contents, (can be used for omelette later). Gather pictures, ribbons, glitter, etc. Decorate them using a decoupage method. Half glue half water over the pics, add glitter, ribbons, etc. Let dry.....You now have a special handmade memory of a fake faberge egg for keepsakes. When someone finds it, bid on it and see who gets it.

Plastic eggs. We have two people here (my father and 10 month old) with egg allergies, so no real eggs just in case.

We use real eggs and dye them. Don't think I'm going to do them this year.

When I was younger we used to use real eggs and dye.. I haven't done easter eggs for a long time now ..
