Is it hype? Or is this hotel that kinky?

Anybody yet seen the commercials for the new Cosmopolitan Hotel and Spa in Las Vegas? link The commercial is hilarious. Bell boys with no pants on, a woman having a corset laced, an other woman using her sub-man as a chair in the hall, what are they taking all those Polaroid pictures of?

And what's with the bunnies and chicks and puppies and kittens?

I have no connection with this hotel, I just saw the ads, and even though I am not a fan of Las Vegas, I want to spend a few days there.

Spas, people, and bubble tubs.

OMG, I need a vacation.

I don't know, but I am going to Vegas in a month or two...I will totally tell you. And I had better see a damn puppy there now that it was in the commercial.

The rates actually weren't that bad. But, what is it with the cute little animals?

I'd like to see the naked from the waist down bell hops, personally.

It's nowhere near what the commercial indicates...it is, however, a whole new type of hotel on the strip, and I am looking forward to seeing it. This hotel was being built when J and I were in Vegas a few months ago, so it will be interesting to see the final product of all that work...and to see if they can hold there own in that city.

Are you staying there, Alley?

My Man tends to favor cabins in the woods, but we really need to get away. I have no idea if we can swing it anytime soon, though. Money.

No, we stay downtown because it's like $20 a night and the food and drinks are cheaper...plus the people are better (less drunken 19 year olds).

I'm really interested in the interactive art concept described on the website as well as the in-house night club.

Thanks to your post I totally have "Cabin in the Woods" from Evil Dead the Musical in my head now.

I want to see a deer in the hall. I'm rather curious about this place but I'm guessing it isn't all that extreme. If only...

I was telling My Man about it this morning. How he missed the commercials, as we're usually in the same room in the evening, I don't know. He has ADD.

When I told him about it, he just raised his eyebrows and said, "Don't go getting any ideas, Woman. It sounds like fun, but we're broke." I have idea, My Man, I have plenty. I'm willing to bet we could get a flight to Vegas damn cheap after the Holidays....

I better see some frickin bunnies in the hallways.....not to mention those bell boys.

Hah, I think they put the bunny outside at the end to indicate like "we do pretty much EVERYTHING here...except this...keep the animals outside..."

Basically just stress the the whole no animals, no children, no unwanted force thing!

Haha, funny, very funny.

P'Gell: Yeah, I know what you mean. I will not be able to, but it does seem like fun.

I'd be creeped out by some guy without pants carrying my bags or something. I would love to have a room full of kitties, though I don't see them actually being able to do it, since people can be allergic to different animals.

Interesting commercial, I am a sucker for bunnies but I hate when animals are used for movies etc. I wonder how they are redistributed after the shooting is done, you know what I mean.

I thought it was going to be kinkier...I have never been to Vegas but one day I will go for sure.

Hilarious commercial! Thanks for pointing it out. I have never been there myself, but if that is the kind of company they keep then I am there! Bunnies and all!

I highly doubt there are really any baby animals in the hotel.

The commercial has a nice, kinky, post modern feel to it, and the fluffy animals clash with the leather and kink so perfectly. "Just the right amount of wrong."

I think that's my new motto.

I just wanted to post that I ate at a restaurant at the Cosmopolitan last night. The hotel is very nice and I would agree that it has a post-modern look. The crowd seemed a bit younger than other hotels and felt like people were there more to be seen than anything else. The vibe came across as a bit pretentious and over done. However, it was still very nice and had a sophisticated look. And sorry to disappoint, I didn't see one bunny hopping about.

Thanks for the actual personal experience, Kindred.

I'm not that interested in the furry animals running around (I think it would break some laws not to mention possibly be cruel to the little cuties) but, I was interested to know if it's a fun place to stay. You said it was a bit pretentious. Do they try to hard with the "kink?" Or what made you think this?

Honestly, I didn't get any feeling of kink. And the pretentiousness is from people wanting to be seen.
