Today's ad volume was pretty much the same like any other week - nowhere near the Black Friday sales.

The newspaper flyers are ridiculous. My husband and I work in retail so we WORK most Labor Days and holidays. Hate it. Staying home this year since I used some vacation time this week.

I almost always avoid most big sales on holiday weekends. Call it a stress tax, but I hate shopping in crowded places. I can't feel rushed when I buy things because my shopping style is slow and deliberate.

I didn't...sales in all forms are kind of a scam. I know...I work retail.
