What do you do on New Year's Eve? How do you celebrate, if you do? Do you drink, party, watch the ball drop, or just have a normal night?

We drink, but we drink often. We just stay home and watch the ball drop, though. If we even make it that late.

I've done various things. Sadly never with Daniel and the last few years nothing exciting. I'd love to host a party or even GO to one, but it just hasn't worked out that way in a long while.

We have a huge bonfire, beer and champagne and fireworks. I also make a bunch of snacks and we just play it by ear as far as who shows up and what we do until midnight. After 12:30, it is OUR time!!

This year will be like the last.
We bought some alcohol, he played video games while I was on my computer, and we watched some TV. Watched the ball drop on TV and kissed at midnight, and then went walking to the end of our street to watch fireworks. There's a park there, which is on the water. We watched fireworks laying on the park bench snuggling and drinking, and smoked a few cigarettes, and then came home

Our main goal is to try not to fall asleep before midnight. It's so boring to watch all of the broadcasts now. It's nothing like it used to be when Dick Clark was large and in charge.
We never, ever go out on New Year's Eve. Too many idiots who've been drinking out and about. Yeah...you know what? We don't go out when there are going to be a lot of people walking the streets or the bars are going to be packed (St. Patrick's Day). The hustle and bustle just doesn't appeal to either of us.

The last few years I spent it with just my husband. Having junk food all night long (like sausage balls, pigs in the blanket and cheese dip). All homemade of course. This year however will be different.
I plan on being in Panama City, FL at my parents secluded vacation house. They have two huge lakes, basketball court, tennis court, swimming pool and a picnic area. That's where I plan on being at along with my husband and our parakeet.
I figure I deserve it after the hell of a year that I have. I have been in the ER 5 times due to post surgery complications and my Grandmother died this year.
It will just be fun spending time with my mom and step-dad.

We don't really do anything. Not really holiday people.

We always spend New Years Eve with our boys. My Grandmother had a saying that whoever you spend New Years Eve with that's who you spend your new year with. So, we always spend the night as a family, movies, dinner, popcorn and we can see the Atlanta fireworks from out front porch..

Well last year we had to leave our friend's place shortly after midnight because we were getting married that day. The year before we left shortly after midnight because I had to work. This year, I have no idea but I think we're going to be spending it with our car club again.

We usually don't do anything but make fun of all the people every year who think the world is ending.

We host a small party in our home every year.

Here New Year is the main winter holiday, more important than Christmas (has lots to do with Soviet past of this country...) and widely celebrated So it's usually a family event like Christmas was meant to be. But I haven't been with my parents much on 31st of December or 1st of January since I moved out. Probably, need to fix it this year
