...wow. Already?

I'm not a fan of this holiday. I'm all for getting drunk on green beer, as long as it's responsible.

I'm not so big on it... really not a drinker, and so far I haven't been old enough to go to any st. patty's day celebrations. I'm sure it's plenty of fun for those who participate, though. 'Long as they don't drive drunk!

The only reason I celebrate at all usually is because I'm dating an Irish man.
I've never been much of a drinker so it's not all that fun for me.

Oh yay, an excuse for people to pinch me for not wearing green and give me shit for not getting hammered drunk, lol. Although I don't think anybody's pinched me for not wearing green since high school, and I don't think I've gotten a hard time for not wanting to drink excessively since some of my ex's friends in college.

I really don't have any traditions or anything like that. I try to wear something green and spend time with friends.

I really don't celebrate all that much since I left NYC. Corned beef and cabbage dinner and some drinks.......I guess I grew up about the drunken St Pat's orgies and anyway, I have to work.

And yes, I am Irish, from both sides.

My family is Irish so we go all out for this holiday. That being said, getting drunk on green beer is NOT something we do. Usually I let the kids stay home from school and we eat green eggs and pancakes. Then we bake Irish soda bread while listening to Irish jigs. A store in my town does Irish imports and every St Paddy's day they have a big pot luck with music and Irish dancers and green drinks...plus its family friendly so you can't go wrong.

My sister's birthday is on St. Patty's day, so I usually go all out for her and buy her a bunch of Shamrock themed items. We always go to McDonald's and get a Shamrock shake too
