I think they're stupid. :/ My in-laws have one that sings "I'm Just a Bill" (Schoolhouse Rock) and it's sooooooo annoying.

We've had some given to us as gifts, but we would have never bought them on our own. We never use the sound option.

The only one I liked was we had this one that was a mouse over a bowl of popping corn, and when you plugged him into the light strand the little pieces of Styrofoam would fly around the bowl and sound like they were popping!

I don't think I would use them simply because they'd get on my nerves. I don't like cards that sing either unless it's given as a joke or something

I have one from a christmas story with the triple dog dare and the pole. it probably would get annoying, but i can't find a screwdriver small enough to remove the screw to add the batteries.

I don't like the singing ones. They get annoying. I'd also prefer my tree to be something just to look at, not for people to be touching.

For me, it would depend on what noise the ornament was making. I don't mind ones where you have to press a button to activate it because then I'm in control of it going off.

I would only use them if the sound could be turned on/off when I wanted to. Years ago I bought my sister a musical Betty Boop ornament and there is an on/off switch.

I would not personally buy one because of the music, but if I loved the ornament for its appearance or if it were a meaningful gift, I don't mine. It's not like you have to play it!
