We don't really sneak it. We call it The Parent Tax.

I don't "sneak" either. I mostly take what he can't eat (he's only three), so the extra chewy things. Sometimes I "sneak" what he could eat after bed if it's something I REALLY like. Mostly I try to buy my own candy so he can keep what he gets on Halloween.

I don't have any kids, but I also don't eat candy, so I voted no.

I don't have kids, so no :3 But If I did I would think it would only be fair to ask or get my own.

When my kids are out of the little kid/toddler age I think that asking or not taking theirs would be appropriate. But my 3 and 6 year old don't really need giant buckets of candy.

Actually, when I was little, I made a special pile of the one's I KNEW my Mom would want. When MY little girl (not little anymore), heard about it, SHE did the same for me...so there was never any "sneaking" per se. It made HER happy to find enough of what she knew I liked in her bag. She got all kinds of Candy and also got to get MOM a gift....she loved that.

Too funny. Your just saving them from the mess. Peanut butter cups are too messy for little kids anyway!!!

Ha, Ha...that is getting the kid primed for the "real world". However, if you really want to bring them up to speed...you need to take HALF their candy and make them give it to some kid that sits home and does NOT bother to go out trick or treating at all. That would be "reality based candy re-distribution"!!!!
