I love to cook, and I don't often get a chance to make a fancy spread. I wish I could experiment a bit more with my family (I'd like to add a few things to our traditional deviled egg appetizer, turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, cranberry sauce, steamed broccoli or peas, and bought pie for dessert). I'd like to try fondue for dessert, or doing something fancy with the veggies. I don't mind about the bought pie, since I've never mastered pie crust, but the last new thing I was asked/allowed to add was a suggestion for stewed parsnips, which were praised, then dropped from the line-up.

I like to cook. Homemade food is always better than catering (except Portillo's for those from Chicago who know what I'm talking about) or eating out.
