SBJ Day

Contributor: The Giveaway Diva The Giveaway Diva
Apparently tomorrow or today (for some of you) March 14th is the official Steak and BJ day! Where February 14th was Valentine's Day and a day where women could be appreciated, SBj day is to celebrate and appreciate men! It's pretty self-explanatory, a steak and BJ for your man.

I just heard about it from a friend, so I was just wondering if any of you have heard about it or are planing to celebrate it?

It's a good day to celebrate. I will only be getting a steak today that I will be buying for myself.

This is honestly the first time I've heard of "Steak and BJ Day". I know Japan and South Korea celebrate White Day on March 14, where those who received chocolates/gifts on Valentine's Day return the favor. Today's also Spring Forward (bleh) and Pi Day. Hooray for Pi!

I just wanted to say, along with being S&BJ Day, it's Mother's Day over in the UK. What a coincidence.....

Ugh. This assumes that men get nothing out of Valentines Day, or that they need to be rewarded for being affectionate and sentimental that one day of the year because it's just sooooo uncharacteristic or even painful for them to do so.

If your partner isn't getting anything out of Valentines Day, you're doing it wrong.

I actually wrote a blog post about this today, and it is very much in line with what EffinSara just said. You can read it here, but alone with assuming that men get nothing on Valentine's Day, it's based on sexist stereotypes of what men and women like, and is totally heteronormative. Not every couple consists of a guy and a girl, just like not all guys like steak and blowjobs and not all women like candles and flowers.

EffinSara & Britni - loosen up, what's wrong with anther opportunity to share time. Just like we get something out of Valentines Day - you should get something out of SBJ day! I think it's a wonderful idea.

Surely when my wife gives me a BJ - steak or not - I make sure she's very well taken care of as well.

Carpe diem!

Thanks, but I don't need an excuse to give blow jobs as it's something I really enjoy doing, and neither of us (me and my partner) are the biggest fans of steak.

There's nothing wrong with spending time together. The problem is with the premise that men need a "man's version" of Valentine's Day because the regular version is all about women. Like... how do you know I *didn't* give my boyfriend steak and a blow job on Valentine's Day?

Now, if this holiday was called something like "Oral Sex and Cake Day" and was intended for both partners to spend a little bit more time with their faces in each others' crotches, and then sit around and eat delicious foods together, I might be able get behind it.

I don't like steak. How about some Pi?

I've never heard of it. And no, I do not celebrate. I'm not a man that's fond of steak (but I am fond of getting head).

I also agree with Brinti and Sara. I think every day is an opportunity to show love to your partner.

I had never heard of this either. I've always heard it referred to as Pi day, as Adriana said

I had never heard of it before either. Valentines Day is cool, but I don't think a lot of single guys sit around sad on Valentines Day... I don't know, maybe I am wrong on that one.

BUT, I would also be all about there being a 'Make Steak and Eat Pussy Day' as well. Can there really be too many reasons for such things?

Make Steak and Eat Pussy Day should be every day.

I suggest eating the steak after the pussy, though... because sex on a belly full of meat might not be so fun.

I find it amusing.

Hard to take offense at something so blatantly silly and ridiculous.

I wouldn't worry too much. I doubt it'll catch on and be covered by Hallmark or the local florist next year.

May not Hallmark but EF could put together a gift pack with a bottle of good head and a set of steak knives.

Exactly. It's all just for fun. It's one of my favorite holidays just because it's silly.

Ditto. It's so ridiculous I didn't even take it seriously.

Lol, a radio station around where I live calls it "Steak and R.H. day," because apparently they can't say BJ on the radio.

My fiance's been sending me texts to remind me all month, but all in good fun, because this is/was just such a ridiculous holiday, lol

What is R.H. stand for? It's probably something really obvious I bet.

The first thing that I thought of was Road Head, but I figured that can't be what they are using for radio slang. Thanks!

It is Road Head, because that's a more acceptable version of the phrase apparently.

They weren't allowed to actually say "road head" on the air, but on their blog they were. So they said that anybody who wasn't sure what "RH" stood for could either text them for an answer or check out their blog on the radios web page.
