I think this goes back like to my great grandma, but on Thanksgiving morning, the men folk would be out tidying the yard and house for guests, the lady folk would be cooking up a storm in the kitchen. (Sounds very country, from someone with roots in a BIG city)...but that IS the way it was......
AND the TRADITION was that on Thanksgiving morning there would always be these BIG, PLUMP packed with Blueberries, blueberry muffins. Made from SCRATCH (only time of the year that EVER happened) and a big pot of coffee.
That was ALWAYS breakfast on Thanksgiving and honestly, many in our family looked forward to those as much as they did Turkey Dinner later in the day. The Muffins were OUR unique treat.
