Did you watch A Christmas Story during its 24 hours of showing between Christmas Eve And Christmas Day?

Contributor: leatherlover leatherlover
If you don't already know, TBS shows A Christmas Story for 24 hours straight starting on Christmas Eve and going through I think 6 pm on Christmas Day. I got to watch it this year, but the past few years I have missed it. I was just wondering, of all the people that enjoy the movie, did you get to watch it this year during the showing?

I can't remember the last time I seen it, maybe 10 years ago.

I watched it, though I have seen it so many times that I didn't really enjoy it.

I didn't vote as I don't want to skew your results. You did say "of all the people that enjoy the movie"...and I am not one of those. My sister loves it an watches it every year.

I don't think it's a bad movie...I just think it is one of the most overrated movies in the history of...overrated movies.

Without fail, every single year, my Dad turns it on in almost every room with a TV in it and love to chuckle at all his favorite parts over and over. It's such a warm part of my family's holiday traditions.

That is one of my Hubby's favorite Christmas movies. Yes, we watched it several times over Once a year is fine - 24 hours is annoying lol

It seems to be a family tradition of ours to have this on, on Christmas Eve. I go to my mom's house and we do presents there with hours' de ouerves (Sp?!) and turn that on in the background

This was my little man's first Christmas, and it was amazing!

I've never seen it actually. I go home for the holidays and my mom loathes the movie, won't let it be shown in the house. I'll probably never see it...

Watching it over and over again, no. But when you have a busy schedule, it is nice to have it on for 24 hours so some time you could watch it.

Every.year. This was the first year my mother watched it. She absolutely loved it. I like it because of all of the Wizard of Oz characters.

We were at my brother's house and it was playing and we weren't really paying attention to it - but at some point we realized it had started all over again and there were groans and eye rolling and someone suggested we change the channel. lol so I suppose yes, I did watch it, although not entirely voluntarily.

My mother forced us to sit through endless repetitions of that stupid, insipid show one year and I have never watched it again.

I try to avoid watching it honestly, but that's because I've never been all that into the movie. If someone else is watching it, I'll watch too and laugh along, but it's never been the first movie I pick to watch.

Oh! I am so glad I am not the only one who hates it! So many people love it and go on about and I just sit quietly, hating it in silence. I thought I was alone!

lol

I saw it again because I was too lazy to change the channel while I was multitasking. I've seen it so many times I can't stand it anymore.
