I was wondering what are you guys favorite country? What sport/event is your favorite from this country?

No preference, but gymnastics is fun. I was a gymnast for years. LOVE it. Would still be a gymnast if anywhere even remotely near my area had a gym specifically for it.

USA. My favorite events are swimming, synchronized diving, beach volleyball (USA vs USA for the Gold...oh dear!), and women's gymnastics.

The Japanese gymnasts are quite hot, but I'm all about Tom Daley in the diving.

I root for Team USA but my Dad played some soccer for a few different Italian teams so him and I will get together and watch some of their matches too. I really love Winter Olympics and ice hockey!
My favorite summer events are gymnastics, diving some volleybll.

I Like Russia, I'm not sure why but I just love watching them in the water sports such as synchronized swimming.

I root for the USA, but I also root for the Olympians from other countries that went to/go to my university.
I like watching the sports that are not normally on TV like Judo, fencing, rowing, water polo, ect... Its fun learning how these games work.

I don't watch the Olympics, but ever since I met my Nepali friend, I always cheer for Nepal. C: They usually only have a handful of participants.

I think, by default, most people root for their home nation. If they have significant family, or came from another "home country" they may vote for that too....but it's all based on "luck of the draw" if you are American or Australian, French or Japanese...etc.
