What signals to you that it's time to start pulling the Halloween items out of the closet? The weather cooling? The stores setting up their fall displays? Do you decorate only the interior of your house, or the exterior as well?

I like to put them up the last week of September. We won't be around this year though, so I'll have to wait until October 21st, when we return.

decorating for halloween is my fav i try to hold off till the last week of sep (but it hard) we do inside and out since we throw big halloween partys.as soon as i see things in stores in when i start wanting to decorate

Well, we've been putting up some solar-powered lights on the trees outside that we'll probably keep up year round. We probably won't do the real decorating for another couple days or so.
