Uhhh don't know where my post went - but the gist of it was I want something original for my blog and would really like some help with it if anyone's willing to go through it with me step by step. (I want to learn so I don't have to ask again!)

Apparently I figured out how to actually apply CSS to my blog. I'm amazed, lol. I'm having a LOT of fun with it... so... if any verified contributor wants a little help sprucing up their blogspot/blogger (I'm not the best- in fact, I'm really just a minimalist that likes to use color) I have the time.

Hmm, so how does one go about starting a blog/site in general. I would assume you need some kind of server space from somewhere. How much does it cost to start one and how much monthly to rent the space. How long did it take for you to set the blog up so that it worked? Do you need to buy special software to use to make the site? How do you get people to know about the site and find it.
I'm sure once I got the thing set up I would figure it out pretty fast. I have watched video tutorials on youtube about other things some are great others are not. But in general if you find a good one you can learn quite a bit and the author sometimes has more than 1 video which is nice.

I could really use some help with my new blog. I set up a group blog about LDR's just over a week ago with some friends from a forum I frequent and now I want my own, "adult content friendly" blog for personal, off-topic stuff. I can't for the life of me seem to get my Edenfantasys widget to work. I'm not completely technologically deficient, but I'm clueless about the blogger platform. The only CSS I know is some basics from skinning forums.
