Sure, there are some excellent pieces out there - but pretty much when I watch something what is intended to be funny then it just bothers me a bit when there is that typical... Dramatic stuff in it... ^^ ~blushes cute (You know, there are those typical movies starting off all funny as hell, then they turn into this all sad drama stuff... Mehhh... )
Do "sad comedies" annoy you too? :D

I think a lot of it is false advertising by the studios. A comedy, in general, is more popular than a drama with comic elements. So a studio will play up the funny bits in the trailers to lure people in. Or am I just being overly cynical?
