I think that American Dad and Family Guy are created by the same person, which would explain why they have so many drawing similarities.

Right, Sam. Seth MacFarlane is the writer and artist for these shows, as well as The Cleveland Show (which is just awful.) Fox tends to stick with things that work for them. MacFarlane tends to push and see how much he can get away with. These shows get tired after a while, but it's not a conspiracy.

When my little one was really little, maybe 5 or 6 (yeah, I'm a bad mom, I let her stay up and watch Family Guy a few times) She saw American Dad and said, "Family Guy and American Dad are the same show... except American Dad isn't as fat." Out of the mouths of babes.

Oh em jee! I just realized: Fraggle Rock, the Muppets, Sesame Street - they're all similar, too! Hide the children! They're trying to brainwash our kids! *runs down street screaming*

But yeah, the Fox network has a tendency to pick up cartoons from the same creators over and over. I never realized how often they did it until I saw this thread.

(And Jim Henson's work is awesome. Just saying.)

Fox and Friends is my favorite show!!!!! I love being able to watch a show that makes the crazies seem normal.
