They are not remaking it, they are making it a sequel. I found two sites that confirm it. My hubby thinks it is cool, he really liked the original.

I hadn't heard about this until seeing this thread I will only see it if Michael Keaton is Beetlejuice and Tim Burton directs it. I have had a major crush on Michael Keaton ever since I first saw the Batman movies in the early 90s.

My Mom tried to get me to watch Beetlejuice for a long time when I was little as soon as she said that Michael Keaton is Beetlejuice I was eager to watch it. I thought she should have said that sooner.
