I watched the pilot episode recently and I have mixed feelings. It seems like it wants to be a unique show, but it still feels all-Twilight-sparkly. Do you dig this show?

I've watched the American version and some of the British version. Both of them are awesome. Not twilighty at all. It gets darker. My rule of thumb for shows I'm not sold on is give them 3 episodes, if I'm not sold by then I'm never going to be.
Check out also the fades, bedlam, lost girl. First too are bbc shows, lost girl comes on such and is Canadian, it's already on season 4 up there

Love the British version, the American is good but not AS good, in my opinion. It's pretty darn dark.
