I have always read tons and I adore it. Since I started working full time I haven't had near as much time.

It's not uncommon for me to pick up a rather large book and finish it in a day.

That's a big reason I haven't wanted to start any new books. I know that once I start a good book, I never want to put it down.

I'm managing to read about one book a month right now. When I had a more brainless job, I used to read a couple of books a week at least.

Minimum 200, probably more, but I rounded it down to be conservative. I must add that I'm disabled & don't work, so I have the time to indulge & the need to escape.

You're not nuts; you're exercising your mind! I've always been a voracious reader, unfortunately it's rarely literature in which I'm interested. I think as long as you're reading something, it benefits your mind.

maybe a couple of books a month. It just depends on how much free time I have, and how the book is written.

I used to read a lot, but school has made it pretty much impossible to read for fun.

I would really love to read more, but find it hard to fit it into my schedule. I am currently taking a master level course to renew my teaching license so reading for fun has currently lost all the fun!! Will be glad when this class is over and I can reconnect with my love of reading! My husband and I have a ton of books and I hope to be able to someday be able to enjoy time where we can just relax and read together.

Wow, I'm impressed so many people are avid readers. I thought that died during this generation. I only read about 2-3. Unless we're talking textbooks for school ...

I don't read whole books, usually just chapters. But I mainly like survival guides, etc.

Exactly 52, because I finish one every week. That's my new year's intention.

I've been keeping a list since 2008 or 2009, my goal is 50, but closest I've gotten was 46, last year 24 :/ but it was a hectic year.

I should read more, but I am lazy. Internets have taken over.

I'm a slow reader but I used to read a lot, probably a book every 2 weeks. I haven't really done much reading this past year for pleasure unfortunately, schools kept me so busy. Do textbooks count?

I read a lot -- not just for my classes, probably 30 - 40 a year.

I've been averaging about 40 books per year over the last few years. I'm an avid reader, but I don't often have the time I would like to be able to just sit down and read.
I also tend to choose long books to read, so I don't always fit as many of them in as I want to.
