I'm (tentatively!) starting to get into Marvel, now that I've wrapped my head around the idea of non-contiguous canon and have accepted that the chances of me ever finding all of these to read is very very low.

Any comic book fans out there? Any tips for a newbie to the genre?

Non-contiguous cannon bugs the crap out of me. It just shows they're out for money and not story.

I prefer to stick with a couple titles or limited series: The Walking Dead, Legend of Drizzt, Dollhouse: Epitaphs, and Supernatural. I just started on the new Ghost Rider, cuz they changed the character to a female lead.

Case by case, I guess...

i'm not super knowledgeable about comics, but i do love them. but i'm a DC girl. Red Son was an AWESOME AS HELL super man comic that my sister lent me to read (she's a little more knowledgeable about comics). it's about what would have happened if super man had landed in the Soviet Union as an infant instead of the U.S. it's SUPER interesting. i couldn't put it down till i finished it. i also wanna read Blackest Night, which is the newest of the green lantern corp comics. i've been into green lantern lately.

Y the last man is my favorite series. I recommend it to everyone.
