To the dismay of many dutch trance fans around the world, the first time since a decade ago that a house DJ takes the throne of being voted #1 DJ in the world according to DJ Mag, is David Guetta. What are your thoughts about it, if any? Do you enjoy his music and remixes? Do you think he's selling out? Do you think he values popularity and style over substance and quality music production?

Guetta makes glorified pop music with EDM beats. He's barely a DJ anymore in my eyes.

deadmau5 (as much as he is also kind of a sell out) would have made a better DJ of the year.

My vote would have gone to Skrillex. Morgan Page also did some awesome stuff this year. Nero did too. Afrojack. Chuckie. Lots of awesome DJs out there. And Guetta wins. UGH.

Heard of him, but don't remember hearing anything exceptional from him. Fan of electronic genre. (DJ Mag?)
