Did anyone else watch the premier of REVOLUTON on NBC last night?

Contributor: Bignuf Bignuf
We thought the show was awesome. We wish they had devoted a full hour to what happens IMMEDIATELY after the "lights went off", since that alone would be an amazing study in survival. With no transportation, water flowing or food coming in/waste going out, no news, communication or law enforcement, how long could anyone survive in our most populous cities?

Anyway, we LOVED it. Waiting for episode 2 with great expectation. How about you?

Revolution? Is that about Russia in 1917, or the U.S. in 1776?

Great Sci Fi, part Western, part Mad Max, part Jackie Chan movie. Part Lord of the Rings, traveling "buddy" quest movie. Got it all. I just hope the quality stays high.

My only gripe....the guy who is like a Ninja Master is constantly drinking. Sorry...BOOZE and SUPERB weapon and hand to hand skills (like knocking off a dozen heavily armed bad guys) just DON'T mix. Oh well...it's TV.

Me too, but I've been looking forward to it. I have a feeling I'll love it. It seems like my kind of show.

Ahhh, wanted to choose the need to see more option! Grrrrrrrrrrrr...

So far it looks ok - just please folks, leave the typical series-drama-bullshit out, cause that stuff drives me up the wall and ruins anything!!! ^^

I watched it with my SO and we were both impressed with how stylish and perfectly coiffed everyone was after fifteen years of no electricity.

Oh well, that's TV I guess.

We'll keep watching.

Much better than the last Abrams offering Alcatraz.

Also looking forward to the rogue nuke submarine show starting soon.

Meh. I started watching it and got bored. I felt like the characters weren't developed enough for me to care what happened to them that quickly.

Same...looks a bit preposterous. Seems like they left out a lot of reality based on the many many previews on TV. Seems like an excuse to have another archery related movie like hunger games. Why no guns? No gas generators?

Was there an EMP or solar storm that caused the outtage? No solar, geothermal, tide or wind power anywhere? Lights all went off EVERYWHERE just like that?

I may be judging too soon, but it just look that appealing.

I thought it was just kind of...meh. Not great, not terrible. My engineer husband, though, watched it with me and every few minutes he said, "It doesn't work that way...Why would THAT stop working?..That doesn't work that way either..."

Yep...I couldn't edit my post, so I will add.

Did everyone forget how to create power after 15 years? Windmills, steam, etc. People just sat back and did nothing for 15 years and went backwards, but apparently Abercrombie and Fitch is still open, clothes are clean and pressed and despite the lack of resources, everyone has time to get their hair styled perfectly.

I may be judging too soon, but it just doesn't look that appealing.

and JJ Abrahms...yawn.

Too bad. They could have used a real premise and made something interesting, but instead made what looks like a cliche borrowing from other post apocalyptic movies.

The previews alone kept making me roll my eyes.

I watched the first episode, thought it was good, but it slowly lost my interest. by episode four I gave up, it didn't live up to its promise.
