I like watching specific shows, but I really wish I didn't. I always think there are so many more important things I could do instead. I know other people who don't watch tv anymore and I'm always a little jealous, but tv still has a grip on me.

I love watching certain shows. Most of TV leaves me completely cold, but I have some shows on cable channels and premium channels that I adore. Plus, it is time that hubby and I spend together, watching on the bed and holding hands, so that makes it even more special.

I like it for a while but after a couple hours a day I tend to either ignore it (if my mother is watching something) and do something else or just shut it off entirely.

I love it! I know it's not the healthiest...but it makes me feel less lonely when I'm alone by myself. It's nice to know other people are watching the same thing, lol.

I watch shows and it helps making me feel better about my life or learn some "life lessons" though most people would say it's a bunch of truisms. I very rarely watch shows live any more when it easier to stream them online. Some times I'll put on something on on Demand as background noise and keep watching but that is about the extent of my TV viewing.

I count downloaded TV shows as being "TV". I only watch TV with the TiVo, so my shows are already recorded for whenever I feel like watching them. I love documentaries, and several shows. I have a lot of DVDs.

I hate TV, 98% of it is complete garbage smashed together with bad commercials about pointless products/services. Awful. I haven't ever paid for TV, once I moved out of my parent's I told myself I'd never give a cable/satalite company money. If I want to watch a TV show I can just look it up online!

I'm sort of confused by the question because I DO watch a bunch of different TV shows that we record, stream, or download, but I don't just turn on the TV and flip around the channels until I find something... I watch shows on my computer mostly, so I can avoid most of the hassle of commercials...weird shows coming on, etc. I love love those shows, and I do admit to having something on all the time just for background noise. hulu over cable any day!

We don't have dvr, rvd, abc ,etc or any fancy stuff like that. Heck, we don't even have cable or satellite. I like doing things. Even just joined the computer age in 2005 believe it or not. For years after work would go play basketball, tennis, racquetball, jog , play with the kids or go to the gym.

After reading your response, I now realize that in reality I only have 3 tv shows I watch. And they are all very late at night. When there is a new season. The rest of my tv watching consists of mickey mouse clubhouse, the movie frozen a million times a day, and watching the boys play video games. Yeah...I guess tv isn't that awesome.
This conversation has given me my daily laugh for my husband's crazy response tho!

It depends on what's on; there's a small handful of shows I watch every now and again, but the commercials and the humor in a lot of modern shows tend to kill my enjoyment. It's part of the reason I play as many PC games as I do, you don't have to sit through ads in the wasteland.
