I do listen to CD's. Moreover, with so many in my collection, I've decided to BURN my own CD's to listen to my special music on one or more CD's. Amore!!!

I don't have any modern music playing device. I listen to cds in my car and I have a portable cd player that I bust out for plane trips and occasions like that. I still burn mixes and what not for road trips. I don't buy new music on cd's ... more
That's awesome

all my mp3s came from my cds, so yes I listen to them. CDs have a much better sound quality then mp3s, so I listen to them when ever I can.
You really think they have better quality?

I occasionally listen to CD's, but not so much in the past year. We had a housefire, and the insurance company put my stereo in storage while the house is being repaired... It's just taking a really long time.

I buy some CDs for various reasons but I rip them to FLAC/MP3 for my desktop and iPod. I don't like the mechanical wear involved with using a CD player and the energy wasted in spinning up the disc and powering the laser.

I used to a lot but then I turned them into MP3 files. Now the only time I listen to CDs is in the car.

Why are people listening to CDs only in cars? You can attach a cheap FM transmitter to an MP3 player and play the music over the car stereo.

Rarely. I don't have a whole lot of CDs, especially not at my school.

I am listening to a cd right now! I am pretty into music and I really like having physical copies of things. Mp3's are nice for convenience, but I really prefer the whole tactile effort of actually manipulating a disc and having cover art/liner notes to look through. I probably have a few hundred cd's around my house.

I normally only listen to them in the car, though I'll often play entire albums from my iPod when it's on the speaker dock.

CDs absolutely have better sound quality. MP3s are dithered down to save storage space. There's a reason you can fit hundreds of MP3s on the same CD that can only hold 12 commercially produced songs. Still, I listen to MP3s almost exclusively these days. Much more convenient for sure.
