I have known some folks who couldn't stand some genres only because they were played with machines only, and no matter what they weren't willing to listen to them!

Do you prefer music played with instruments, electronic tunes or both equally/doesn't matter?

As long as it sounds good, I like it. The only thing I'm leery of is auto-tuning.

However, the "Friday" song from that one high school chick is a horrible ear worm!

All I listen to is EDM. I don't think I've heard a song with a real instrument in a long time...

If I go to a concert, I want someone to play an actual instrument.

Otherwise... I like the sound of guitars and pianos but I don't care if someone is actually playing them. I don't mind electronic music, but it gets tiring after a while--a lot of artists seem to want to make the tune as cluttered as possible.

It doesn't really matter, as long as it sounds good. Then again, it kind of depends on genre.

You can thank Phil Spector for THE WALL OF SOUND.

I prefer real instruments provided the musicians KNOW how to play. If someone's idea of playing is I, IV, V they best exit stage right. I demand some #$%*^! virtuosity.
